Happy New Year to each of you. I pray that you are safe and well as we begin 2024. Every year since I arrived as your pastor in 2013 I have encouraged us to read through the Bible during the year. Some of you have done so regularly. Others have started and stopped or gotten sidetracked and got too far behind to catch up (or so you thought). I am writing to once again encourage us to be people of the Book. God blessed us with His written Word so that we could know Him and His promises to us and His expectations of us in His commandments. He has also given us stories that tell us about the marvelous grace offered to us in the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are many helps online to aid you in your Bible reading plan. Here are some that I found. You can use one of these or others you might like.

Which one you choose is up to you. Remember, success begins by showing up. Showing up to read God’s Word and spend time with Him in prayer is where success as a follower of Christ begins for all of us.
